Friday Five

Whoo! Friday!
1.) What food did you hate as a kid that your parental figure still insisted that you had to eat?
2.) Is it wintery yet where you live?
3.) Have you made a Christmas list?
4.) Do you call other people's parents by their first names?
5.) In an ideal world, what time would you go to bed?

1.) What food did you hate as a kid that your parental figure still insisted that you had to eat? I really can't think of any...I was pretty simple, I always ate my vegetables and stuff. I guess sometimes I didn't really want to finish the meat portions - I'm not a huge meat-eater.
2.) Is it wintery yet where you live? For Texas, this is wintery. It's like, 36 degrees outside right now, at 6am. It won't last, of course, but this is vaguely wintery.
3.) Have you made a Christmas list? Hell no. I never do. My parents have already gotten me gifts.
4.) Do you call other people's parents by their first names? I usually don't. A couple of my friends, I call their moms, "Mom", because I feel close-ish to them. My dad was one who always insisted to be called by his first name by my friends.
5.) In an ideal world, what time would you go to bed? Whenever I feel like it, which is how it is anyway.

1. Nothing, which is why I still am not a veggie fan...
2. It's cooler, but I wouldn't call it wintery at all. We're keeping the doors open all the time. It's nice.
3. No. I've already bought myself what I wanted.
4. I don't really ever see other peoples' parents.
5. 3 a.m. and then sleep until 10 or 11. I should have majored in Rock Star.

1.) Ham. I still hate ham, but I'll eat it.
2.) It's raining, so yes.
3.) Uhhh, with a lot of prodding I wrote a few things down.
4.) No effing way. Not even out here where they try to make me.
5.) 9 or 10 PM. Such a rower.

1.) Oatmeal
2.) Yes! Finally.
3.) Nope. We're not giving each other gifts this year.
4.) I don't really know/see any of my friend's parents.
5.) Eh, I pretty much have an ideal bedtime now. It's the waking up part that sucks.

1. Green Beans... I still won't eat them...
2. There is snow on the ground, yes, but it's not that cold outside yet.
3. No, I'm a bit of a 'last minute Annie,' so most of the time people are left to their own devices, which is the way I like it anyway.
4. No, I don't... It just feels weird.
5. I pretty much head to bed whenever I feel like... I wish I needed less sleep, that would come in handy during exam time.

1.) Milk. YUCK. But actually now I like milk. Hm.
2.) Sort of. It's cold, that's for such, but has only been for about a week or so. We won't see snow on Long Island at least until Christmas, probably.
3.) yes I did! Since I'm student teaching next semester, it consists of "nice clothes" and "nicer clothes." And a Brandon Dubinsky jersey, cuz why not <3?
4.) No! I call my boyfriend-of-four-and-a-half-years parents "Shawn's Mom" and "Shawn's Dad" despite them telling me to just call them by their first names.
5.) Like 1ish and then wake up like 9ish. That's late enough, but you still wake up early...ish.

Saturday five? (Yeah, I'm late)

1. Squash. I still have nightmares.
2. Yes. It's been cold (20ish) and now we have half a foot of snow.
3. I'm taking donations of large, unmarked bills.
4. Usually not, especially if I've known them since I was young, but if they ask me to or introduce themselves as such, I will.
5. 10-12? Depends on when I get up.

1. Probably Brussel Sprouts. That vegetable sucks unless it's drowning in cheese.
2. If you consider 75 degrees wintery, then yes. The temperature in my apartment however refuses to get below 80 degrees.
3. Sort of. My mom already asked what I wanted and I told her a gift card to Banana Republic so I can buy more work clothes.
4. No. But my fiance's parents want me to call them by their first names. It's very awkward. I think I've done it once. Otherwise I try to start all conversations with them with, "So..." or "hey..."
5. During the week, about 10pm.

1.) What food did you hate as a kid that your parental figure still insisted that you had to eat?

Honestly, I ate everything as kid...I never had an issue lol.

2.) Is it wintery yet where you live?

Yes!! Way too cold.

3.) Have you made a Christmas list?

No, I haven't yet. All I can think of is Scrubs Season 7.

4.) Do you call other people's parents by their first names?

It depends how well I know them, if we're close I call them mom...if not..then yeah, first name.

5.) In an ideal world, what time would you go to bed?

10:30, but that usually happens because I can't stay awake...ever.

1.) Cheerios
2.) Yes, and all the Bostonians around me are complaining. They would never make it in Western NY.
3.) Kind of.
4.) No. I try not to refer to them by any names, so that I don't refer to anyone incorrectly.
5.) 6am, and then I'd wake up at 2pm.

I find the answers to number 4 very odd.
