Friday Five

Sorry it's late, I had a midterm due at midnight, and a lot of sleep to catch up on. Yay for Mid-Semester Day!
1.) Are you sick of election time yet?
2.) What color Post-It notes do you prefer?
3.) Do you use coasters?
4.) Are you a better presenter or paper writer?
5.) Do you buy CDs any more?

1) Neener! Ours is all done!
2) Any colour
3) Only when I remember
4) Definitely paper writer, though as I TA this year I'm getting better at presenting
5) I would if I bought music anymore ;)

1) Yep! I think the primaries are interesting because it's all about the issues. But after the party nominations it just comes down to picking the lesser of two evils - snore!

2) Turquoise

3) Yeah - real wood and water don't get along

4) Paper writer

5) No I get most of my music from Ruckus

1) Sick of it? Kinda, I just want it to hurry up and get here so I can vote!
2) Yellow
3) Yes, I hate having to clean the table if one isn’t used.
4) I have enough confidence to say I could do both well, but my preference would be to write a paper.
5) Negative. Gotta have the digital music.

1. yes
2. don't have a preference
3. yes
4. I used to be a great paper writer but since I've become a teacher that has changed to being a presenter
5. sometimes, not often

1. Oddly, not really. I've mostly avoided it since Texas isn't exactly a battleground state. Though I won't miss it either.
2. Yellow
3. Sometimes, but I'm always worried more about the cup spilling than sweating and it always feels a little more precarious perched on a coaster. Especially with a big golden retriever tail thwacking around the house.
4. Paper writer. By... a lot.
5. Nope.

2. Purple
3. I try.
4. Both actually. I am a charming presenter.
5. Yes. I love buying CDs and pointing to my rack and showing it off.

1.) I already voted absentee, but I still have to hear about it.
2.) Lime green
3.) At home yes, at school...sometimes.
4.) I'm an awesome presenter and a great short paper writer. Anything over like 3-4 pages...not so much. (unless it's a research paper, then maybe)
5.) Yes, CDs and iTunes split my music collecting.

1.) I'm sick of waiting to vote.
2.) Anything but that boring yellow!
3.) I use the old AOL discs as mine.
4.) I'm good at both.
5.) Every once in a while.

1. Yes. And I can't even vote, which is lame.
2. I like a mixture...I get bored/annoyed if there's just a lot of one color.
3. I tend to use objects as coasters, not actual coasters.
4. Paper writer, that's why I do journalism - I'm much more eloquent when writing than speaking.
5. Every now and then, but mostly not.

1.) Ughhh, YES!

2.) I like the Super Sticky blue ones.

3.) Yes, even though they are makeshift ones that I create from the cardboard sleeve of my Starbucks cups.

4.) Definitely a paper writer.

5.) Sometimes but iTunes so much easier.

1. A little, but I'm mainly anxious and nervous because I want my candidate to win.
2. Purple. Of course.
3. Yes.
4. Presenter. I'm super anal about making sure I sound competent and that I don't use any filler words (ah, um, uh).
5. I only buy CDs for my parents.

1.) Not really, because U.S. elections have much more scandal and intrigue than Canadian ones. Granted they also last two years longer.
2.) yellow
3.) only on wood
4.) I'm better on air/camera with others than solo. I can write until the cows come home, which might well happen before the Leafs win The Cup.
5.) On occasion.

1) Yes! I am just anxious to see who wins.
2) I use the alternating color accordion post-its in teal and neon green - easier for my boss to see.
3) At home and work.
4) Equal, I'd say...
5) Only when I know I'm going to like the whole thing and it's one of my favorite artists, otherwise it's all digital.
