Friday Five, October 5th

  1. What's your favourite part of Thanksgiving?
  2. Pumpkin pie or apple pie?
  3. If you could have one artistic talent what would it be?
  4. How far would you walk for ice cream?
  5. I know we try to keep these hockey-free but I have to ask... How excited are you for the start of the 07/08 season?

Happy Thanksgiving weekend to my fellow Canadians and um, Happy October 5th to everyone else!

1. Foodgloriousfood. Having the extra day to catch up on homework will be a bonus, too.

2. Yes!

3. It would be nice to sight-read a bit better. But then I'd have to actually have to practice.

4. Depends on the ice-cream. But many, many blocks, yes.

5. Very - comes from finally living in the same city as my team again. Seeing all those jerseys at school yesterday put a tear in my eye, it did...

1. Food. Specifically? STUFFING.(Or dressing, or whatever you canucks call it)
2. That's a hard one. But pumpkin's only aroud for this part of the year, so I'm gonna go with that.
3. I would like to be a glassblower.
4. We used to do a mile across a river for the best ice cream in Mystic, CT.
5. OMFG. I live so close to the Bears arena that even if I'm not there, I can hear the announcments. I HEART THIS STUFF!

1.)Food and drunk relatives. (oh and it's dressing. My mother beats people senseless when they call it stuffing)
2.)Apple
3.)Being able to draw better than a first grader
4.) Apparently pretty damn far. My teammates and I got lost in Portland looking for Ben and Jerry's and ended up walking really far.
5.) SO EXCITED. After the longest off season EVER, I can safely say that I'm ecstatic. The fact that I'm very probably going home in two weeks makes it all even better.

Ooh, I haven't done one of these in a loooong time! :)

1. Um...I should say hanging out with my family but, yeah, the food is good.

2. Apple. Always apple.

3. I would love to be able to play the piano. You know when your parents try and make you practice as a kid? I should have practiced.

4. Uh...to the corner? I'd probably walk further for cake.

5. I AM SO EXCITED. Even more so since my boys decided to come out and actually win their first game :)

I HATE American Thanksgiving... but about Canadian TGiving, I'm all about the food and getting together with friends and family.

Apple, but I'm picky... Living in WA, where one of our chief crops is Apples. it has to be good stuff - none of that canned apple crap. That just doesn't fly.

I would've kept up with the violin even after the orchestra teacher yelled at me. Oh well, I still have my piano? Then again a violin wouldn't cost $150 to move. Whoops!

Being lactose intolerant, I'd drive... just because i'd have to um... use the facilities before i could walk back from anywhere. TMI, I know, but it's the truth.

FREAKIN STOKED!!! center ice in my new apartment = awesome!

1. The one time each year my family travels to Philadelphia from NoVA (as opposed to me Amtraking down there for the other holidays).

2. Pumpkin pie first, then apple.

3. Being able to paint would be fantastic. (An ever-revolving source of new stuff on the walls and one-of-a-kind presents for friends, family, whatever.)

4. I once did a 5K just for the free ayce ice cream afterwards.

5. Dear God, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I leave for the weekend and what do I miss? Buffalo posting losses two nights in a row. CBJ shutting out Anaheim! Anaheim losing again the next night (sorry Anaheim ladies, feel free to make fun of my Kings). The Kings losing their home opener (go my team!). Me being dead last in the HLOG fantasy league. And now for my answers:

1. Vacation days and food!

2. Pumpkin pie all the way! It may be considered unAmerican but I really don't like Apple Pie (or any fruit pie for that matter).

3. Sing.

4. Ehhh, I don't normally have ice cream cravings too often and when I do they're not that strong. I mostly crave for candy so I would walk very far for candy.

5. So excited!!! But now it's getting darker earlier and that doesn't stop till around April.
