He may have almost not been my favourite, but he was a guy who played with pure determination (when needed). He loved the team, he loved the captain, he could've stayed. And we'll put this down to the one management let get away. And we farewelled him in a typical Habs fashion "overrated, overpaid, unwanted, CANCER!". Wherever he goes, I will remember him fondly, because he meant well for the organisation.
On the other hand. We got Souray! Well the Oilers got Souray. A flashy D-man with horrible +/-. With the bucket of cash put in front of him, he didn't seem to go for the extra large size that everyone else got. I'm a bit interested in how he'd fare at home. Will he be traded to the Flyers? Will he demand a trade to get closer to his ex-wife? (or further if it doesn't go well) Will he become PART OF THE TEAM, in the fashion that everyone wants? Or will people be able to re-use their MAB jerseys? Nonetheless Souray is here to stay, hopefully, but yes, here to stay. Put your Souray bashing hats down, it's time to defend him ruthlessly. (Tip: Oh yeah!? How many Game winning goals does your D-man have!?)
