Playoff Heartbreak

I like Roberto Luongo and I picked Vancouver in my playoff pool so I was technically cheering for them... but damn if I don't feel horrible for Marty Turco right now. Three shut-outs in the series? Allowing only 2 goals in a game where his team took eleventy billion penalties? And he still loses? I can't remember the last time I felt so badly for a guy who wasn't on my team. Marty, we know you're not a choker, okay?

No way man, I don't spare sympathy for suckas!

No, really. I have little sympathy. He played good but damn I have a cold heart.

Haha I'm with you Jordi. It's payback from when he shut out my beloved Blue Jackets at home for the 54874546782 time this season. But, I will say he played extremely well but I am positive that the better goaltender won.

I hear you, he played really well and I felt bad for him at the end. I'd love to know what Luongo said to him in the line, they had a little moment of talking and if there is one person who can appreciate just how good Turco played, it's Luongo.

Completey agree. And what if Modano hadn't hit the post in the final minutes? I agree with Jordi, because I swear, if I had to hear one more time about Turco and his playoff demons...

No kidding. Particularly since if there's one other person in the playoffs who should be able to sympathize with having virtually no goal support it's got to be Luongo.

The best part of the post by far: eleventy billion. Awesome.

I don't really like either team but I do like Turco better than that other goalie and knowing what it's like to have your goalie stand up and be a man while playing with boys, my heart goes out to Turco.
