Quick Leafs Update

I know you are all suffering from a lack of info about "God's Team" in the NHL so I will give a quick update.

Tomas Kaberle is expected to return for a back to back tilt this weekend with the Buffalo Sabres. As some might recall he suffered a concussion thanks to a late post puck visit from New Jersey Devils meathead Cam Janssen.

Fan frenzy was at fever pitch, even by Leafs crazed Toronto levels and the air was thick with rumours of retribution for the late hit that sent Kaberle to the infirmary for a few days. Leafs goon Wade Belak did ham it up and have a centre ice fight with Janssen.

The Leafs got the best revenge by getting the all important 2 points for their victory.

Leafs captain and Super Swede, Mats Sundin had a milestone night notching his 900th point as a Leaf. He is also one goal away from tying fellow Leafs legend Darryl Sittler's record for most goals as a Toronto Maple Leaf.

While it would be grand to see him reach that milestone this weekend the Leafs must bring their A game to keep playoff hopes alive. The race for 8th in the Eastern Conference is tighter than a Yorkshireman's wallet, and not getting any easier to decide with the plethora of 3 point games.

congrats to sundin on his milestone - i always get a kick out of cheering for milestones like this. they seem to get overshadowed sometimes by things like close playoff races and 3 point games...
