Congrats to Burnaby Joe

I hope I'm not jumping into someone's home team territory but I didn't see any mention of Joe Sakic scoring his 600th NHL goal last night. He is one of only 17 to be in that elite group. In his typical low key fashion he led the Avalanche to a come from behind win over the Calgary Flames.

Sakic is one of those players that I think most of us can admire, regardless of our team affiliation.

When things like this happen, feel free to post away.

I did mention it in my post-game but it slipped my mind to put it up here.

I have nothing but respect for him. Way to go, Joe.

I hate the Avs- goes back to the days of the Wings/Avs rivalry, but I'm a big Joe Sakic fan. Sakic and Yzerman (two great #19s) are classy leaders and it's nice to still have one of them playing.

Sakic rules. And dominates at faceoffs.

I had to smile when I read about this goal on yahoo sports. Joe's has to be about my favorite player (for someone who's Not-A-Real-Hockey-Fan anyhow). So this my week a good one. I'm always happy for his successes. :)
