Weekly Topic - 2008 Playoff Hilites

This year's playoffs were full of surprises, not the least of which is how some of the teams got there in the first place.

In the East, it was a battle down to the last regular season games. That was just nuts. The first round was up in the air until that last game was played. The other surprise in the east culminated in round 2 when the 6th seeded Flyers took on the top seeded Habs - and won. I thought Philly would cave, and to their credit, they knocked out the #1 seed in a stunning upset.

It was also surprising to see a team get swept in the second round, which happened in the West this year.

Just my $0.02 for the weekly topic. All in all, a very exciting post season to watch.
