Somewhere, down in the hidden bowels of the hidden headquarters of the National Hockey League, some genius thought it would be genius to add a "phonetic guide" to a hockey players last name in their roster pages.
Somewhere, up in the hidden house of the hidden headquarters of Bob Cole, we heard some scream, "HALLELUJAH!"
Okay Bob, say it with me Bee-EK-Sa, not Bee-ES-ka.

And yet for some reason it's the guys (Chris "AWS-gud") who totally don't need their names in phonetics who get them, and the ones (Valtteri Filppula) no one gets right who are still lacking...wtf nhl. Wtf.
(Er, and that last "comment" would be me. Still unable to check if I'm logged into the right account before posting comments.)
LOL!! It's kind of made me realize that even some of our guys on my team say their names wrong... Oh, yes, I HAVE asked! But it seems that they don't know what they're talking about because Nhl.com has it as some other random pronunciation. Imagine that...
hahahahaha. I have suffered through Bob Cole for too long and know he can't even pronounce North American names let alone foreign ones! this is a godsend for all of us
