No Pickle at the Young Stars Game

Matt Carle was the Sharks selected to participate in the Young Stars game. I understand that it was probably his reputation that got him there: Hobey Baker and all that. However, I think that Marc-Eduard Vlasic should have been picked. He is a 19 year old defenseman that impressed the Sharks coaching staff to keep him on the roster. He has been really solid for the Sharks, playing both the power play and penalty kill. He gets quite a bit of ice time for such a young defensemen. I'm so impressed with him that I gave a little hop of joy when I saw that the Mystery Puck I had bought was signed by him.

They picked Carle for his offensive ability. I agree Vlasic also should have gone as well along with Joe Pavelski. But it's a short 4 on 4 game with only 10 players per side.
