As you may or may not have heard, Shane O'Brien has been traded along with a third round pick to the Tampa Bay Lightning for AHL Goaltender Gerald Coleman & a first round pick.
Yes, the Ducks picked up a first round pick which they can use to get a forward, maybe Bill Guerin or Keith Thachuk from the St. Louis Blues, but why send the talented O'Brien away. I figure the rumor mill must be true, Brian Burke really didn't like O'Brien.
Anyway, Finny & I are all in total and complete shock by this trade. We figured someone would go, but never expected O'Brien's departure.
Finny has become a wreak since Jessica broke the devastating news to her. I spoke with her on the phone today and she was crying so hard, I had trouble understanding her. The one thing she did say was, "I am not going to be okay!"
Finnydoes not expect to be able to post a new blog for at least the next week, while she takes time to recover from this shock.
Everyone, please send your well wishes Finny's way in this difficult time.

My condolences to both of you. I can't even imagine. I'm holding my breath that we get through the tradeline death with Marty as a member of the team. I know he'll be gone at the end of the season, but I just want to hold on to him as long as I can.
Hang in there!
